October 1, 2006 Hello
First of all, we want to thank you for a great ROC V.
It was our biggest and best ROC ever!
We are already thinking about how to raise the bar even higher for
ROC VI…so stay tuned!!! Now it’s the time of year to
start thinking about the new
We’ve added a new class this year called 1/24 Vintage (Falcon
Flexi). This class was started at ROC V, and it was such an overwhelming
success, it will become part of our monthly program.
Additionally we will have a separate 1/32-Day race program that
will run on Sundays in October, November and January (see the schedule).
We will schedule additional races into the winter and the spring as
interest dictates.
We have made several other changes in the rules in order to bring
them closer to the other series races in the area.
Among those rules changes includes the elimination of any cutting
or modifying of the chassis front wheel uprights or any cutting of the
pan. This particular rule
change will go into effect at the November race (Jaffrey Speedway) to
allow a little more time for racers to comply.
Additionally, in order to make this change a more “digestible”
We will continue to run a point
series this year with a slight tweaking of the points rules. There will be
5 different Raceways participating this year’s points program of 8
Races. There will be one (1)
drop and the race at Grand Prix Raceway in March will be a double
points race!!! (The ROC
warm-up and ROC VI will not be point’s races, but payouts will be made
at this final event in July.) This year, we will also have a
clearance rule that requires that all cars start out with a minimum of
1/32” (.032”) clearance at the rear of the chassis.
Additionally, if a car is dragging excessively on the track during
a race, that car may be black flagged requiring correction before he/she
may continue the race. There are several other rules
changes, so please read all the rules carefully.
Like we said earlier, the changes that have made were done in the
spirit of trying to be more consistent with the other race series in the
area. So in closing, we are
looking forward to a great year of Thanks, Ralph Griffin & Joe Mazzulo Need For Speed Model Car Raceway – www.needforspeedraceway.com Email: needforspeedraceway@gmail.com Telephone. (603) 644-RACE (7223)
